Alarga is run in cooperation with selected companies. Partner companies contribute to a fund that awards grants to students meeting the requirements of the target group.
Alarga’s advisory board consists of one representative from each partner company. The Advisory Board supports Alarga’s Board of Directors and is responsible for recommending grant candidates, in addition to assisting the directors on a general basis. The Advisory Board meets minimum twice yearly. Geir Aarseth of Orkla is the Advisory Board director.
Advisory board
Geir Aarseth is director of competence development in Orkla ASA. Aarseth holds a Master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Oslo, and has held his position in Orkla since 1999. Prior to this he worked as Director of Personnel at Orkla’s head office and for Denofa-Lilleborg. He has served as state secretary in the Ministry of Labor and Administration, as administrative secretary in the central administration of the City of Oslo, and as a consultant in the National Efficiency Directorate.
